[don't] be little
Remember Xanga? It was the blog site when I was in junior high and high school, and I blogged almost every day at mmmpopcrn--mmmpopcorn was taken. It was like my journal. I'd tell stories and comment on my friends' posts, and I was borderline obsessed.
That was 15 years ago.
So, when I thought about creating a blog again, I knew I wanted it to mean something. To be something more than just stories about my day and random things I thought about.
In the most cliche of ways, I did some soul searching.
I'm a 5'3" outspoken 27-year-old who's always mistaken for a teenager.
I wanted to sit at the Thanksgiving adult table the moment I found out about it.
I love to challenge every idea that comes my way.
When I decided I would probably marry my husband Aaron, I loved the irony in his last name--Little--because I've been told to be little all my life:
You're too inexperienced to have that kind of opinion.
You're not old enough to understand.
You've never tried that; you won't know if it works.
Jessica, be little.
But, I can't be little. I have dreams and ideas and excitement happening in my head and my heart, and I have to share it for the sake of the world and those in it.
Do you ever feel that way?
If so, this blog is for you:
Women who love to challenge.
Women who want to get things done and love others at the same time.
Women who share their own stories.
I plan to share some insights I've learned--and am learning--along my journey, and I hope it adds to your world. If it does, leave a comment, and let's talk about our journeys together. Life's too big and too short to not share it with someone.
